Task and Duties:
· P&L Accountability – managing finances to an agreed budgeted P&L
· Develop and implement business plans to include operational and sales forecasts along with financial objectives for the branch
· Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the physical inventory, perform physical branch inventories as needed
· Develop and maintain company safety policies
· Ensure all work required is completed efficiently, accurately and timely, including but not limited to receiving, put away, picking, shipping, returns, inventory management etc.
· Maintain all physical aspects of the building in good working order, including but not limited to racking, MHE, building systems (HVAC etc), work and break rooms, etc. and ensuring we meet all lease obligations.
· Constantly review the set-up of the building/operations to maintain a clean, efficient, and safe work environment, including but not limited to slotting, location maintenance, work area flow, etc.
· Maintain the building operations to comply with all regulatory obligations, including but not limited to OSHA, HazMat, government regulations, etc.
· Maintenance and repair of company vehicles if applicable
· Develop and maintain a qualified staff comprised of supervisor(s), full time and part time employees, providing training, coaching, development and motivation to improve the branch performance
· Employee management including but not limited to payroll, attendance, performance, time off, discipline, training, development, etc.
· Communicates areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel assigned, and develops standards of performance as a basis of review.
· Foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximizing employee morale and productivity
· Ensure customers receive efficient, expedient service by all personnel
· Active involvement with escalated customer requests as needed
· Ensure all front counter operations and cash handling are performed per policies and procedures
· Manage retail display area to meet company goals and objective
· Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster aid promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
· Participate in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning processes as appropriate.
· Maintain vendor contracts for warehouse related areas including but not limited to waste management, security, corrugated supplies, packing supplies, etc.
· Evaluate and execute best practices and improvement opportunities
· Provide regular feedback to Regional Management on overall operations of branch, sharing effective practices, competitive intelligence and business opportunities.
· Maintain relationships with carriers to ensure contracts are honored and vendor performance expectations are clearly communicated and achieved
· Project a favorable image of the company to promote its aims and objectives and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all of its areas of endeavor.
· Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulatory and applicable laws
Education and Job Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Excellent customer service skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Maintain consistent and positive attendance
· Ability to perform in stressful and demanding environment
· Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, carry, grasp, type and write up to 8 hours a day
· Ability to lift as much as 50 lbs. occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently
