Job Description

The Association Teen Director will give leadership to Achievers programs in collaboration with branches and NextUp sites. This includes responsible for Achievers curriculum, including all communications, recruitment, training and program celebrations.Supports Youth Development staff development specifically as it relates to training include training offerings, schedule, speakers/trainers, locations, attendance and certification tracking, and all related communications. Additional responsibility will include leading assigned summer camp in program structure and summer Camper In Leadership Training and Leaders in Training program sessions. Will give leadership to Site/Center Coordinators/Directors, including hiring, training, scheduling, monitoring, evaluating, providing feedback, leading meetings, and ensuring that required certifications are maintained. Provide guidance to Counselors and other part-time staff, disseminating best practices and providing ongoing coaching and mentoring. Fill-in for on-site staff as needed.

Qualifications

A four-year degree in a related field is preferred. At least two years’ experience in youth development is required, with at least one year of experience in a supervisory role. Strong relationship-building, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary. The ability to plan, develop, organize, manage, prioritize and administer tasks is essential. Previous academic enrichment experience, budgeting and computer proficiency, and administrative skills are required.
