Position Competencies
1. Decision Making/Judgement: Gathers enough information to allow a trustworthy assessment of risks and benefits of alternative approaches in any decision. a. Continually assess the internal and external environment for emerging trends, best practices, and market reactions in order to make recommendations aligned with market conditions to best position the credit union as an employer of choice.
b. Communicate and partner with all business units to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate all organizational development programs.
c. Assist in facilitating the evaluation of organizational / departmental structure, job design and staffing forecasts in order to project recruiting needs and compensation budgets.
d. Assist, research, and implement new or modify existing human resources and talent developmental programs and processes to increase team member satisfaction, engagement and retention.

a. Oversight and continuous improvement of the various human resources support tasks and workflow to improve efficiencies and develop team member satisfaction in ease of use and accessibility.
b. Analyze department goals and develop strategies to ensure monthly goals are achieved and increase organizational satisfaction for team members.
c. Provide effective training, coaching, and mentoring techniques to team members regarding all aspects of human resources and organizational training and development to ensure department and satisfaction goals and growth targets of the credit union are met.
d. Encourage and support team members with effective communication regarding work performance, goal achievement, and corrective actions to ensure a high-quality work environment is maintained and individual, department and organizational goals are achieved.
e. Evaluate and clearly communicate your expectations for direct reports by ensuring the conducting of timely performance appraisals, recommending promotions, and reassignments, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services to all members and team members. Assist in the recruitment and selection of quality applicants to develop an effective and enthusiastic team
3. a. Work with auditors/examiners to ensure the consistent application of policies and practices are within guidelines and are in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
b. Prepare and submit standard reports for tracking and goal achievement to monitor and communicate organizational accomplishments and/or challenges.
c. Prepare, implement, and manage a budget for areas of responsibility to remain consistent with the overall budget for the credit union.
d. Oversee the formulation and implementation of training policies, programs, and schedules based on knowledge of identified training needs, changes in products, procedures, or services to ensure credit unions educational needs are identified and met.

a. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to ensure business objectives are effectively managed and aligned to meet organizational goals.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or alike is required.
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification strongly preferred.
Experience
Three to five years of progressively increasing Human Resources/Training Management leadership experience.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to manage remotely
- In depth knowledge of employment legislation and legal regulations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.)
