Opportunity:

The VP will be responsible for the development of new strategic partnerships within both the existing as well as targeted new base of partners. The successful candidate will serve as the primary interface for these partners as we develop new Go-to-Market plans, as well as work cross-functionally within the Sungard AS organization to drive product roadmap alignment. This position requires an experienced business development executive with strong alliance/partnership background in the IT industry with a proven track record of developing new partnerships that result in significant revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally with Sungard AS’s Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to align on overall partnership strategy.
  • Build a pipeline of strategic partners aligned to Sungard AS current and future product development projects.
  • Build Go-to-Market plans with targeted Alliance teams that position Sungard AS as a preferred provider and their partner ecosystems.
  • Work with Sungard AS Product to launch new Partner service offerings.
  • Educate and drive mindshare for joint solutions/offerings with Partner sales, pre-sales solutioning engineering, product management, alliances, and key strategic relationships.
  • Maintain and grow existing revenue with strategic partners.
  • Establish trusted relationships with key partner executives.
  • Achieve assigned revenue goals.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews.
  • Track and report on revenue goals and key objectives.
  • Maintain the highest quality sales team possible by continually ensuring the entire team is trained in all products/services provided by Sungard AS.
  • Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of the sales forecast.
  • Motivate the sales team to constantly improve its performance and provide consistent performance feedback to Account Executives.
  • Conduct territory review sessions with each Account Executive at least once per quarter and bi-weekly coaching sessions with all Account Executives to review reporting accuracy, overall pipeline management, new account coverage, existing account penetration, deal strategies, individual educational needs, and win/loss rationale.
  • Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a collegiate manner at all times and in line with the Company’s values.

Requirements:

  • Preferred BA or BS or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
  • 5+ years’ experience in IT Channel Development/Strategic Alliance with proven results initiating and developing complex partnerships.
  • MBA a plus.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, goal-oriented, and able to work with a high-degree of autonomy.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, dynamic environment.
  • Minimum 50% travel.
