Position Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and day to day operations of the department to achieve goals, objectives, and budget. This includes a primary emphasis on revenue growth, market expansion, marketing, legal and regulatory compliance, quality service delivery, and people development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide overall direction and guidance in the operational activities of franchise operations and its associates with the objective of providing proactive procedural assistance to franchisees in the pursuit of a maximizing growth and profitably growing the operations.
  • Acting as a Consultant, promote and develop a spirit of cooperation and harmony between the franchisee and business partners.
  • Assist and hold franchises accountable in implementing the system consistent with the business unit’s standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and implement a market expansion strategy to ensure effective market penetration of the business unit brand.
  • Manage all aspects of franchisee compliance and the contract renewal process.
  • Instrumental in planning conventions, training, and franchise meetings.
  • Oversee the Franchise Advisory Committee activities.
  • Develop operational goals for the business unit which are aggressive, yet obtainable, and tied to long-term goals of the company.
  • Monitor division performance against performance goals to ensure progress is being made and corrective action, if necessary, is taken.
  • Ensure adherence to annual budgets.
  • Build an organizational culture in which passion for continuous improvement is innate.
  • Shape and develop division strategy and organization.
  • Ensure proper report structure with divisions and departments.
  • Help identify opportunities and areas for improvement within each division.
  • Advise the President and/or Senior Vice President on strategic business development and key corporate planning issues that relate and impact the operations of the company.
  • Determine resource allocation among divisions.
  • Keep the President and/or Senior Vice President informed about business activities, performance, opportunities, and recommended courses of action.
  • Lead managers to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Challenge basic assumptions underlying each division’s operations.
  • Act as a sounding board for division heads.
  • Set performance goals tailored to each division.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
  • 5-10 years management experience in a service industry.
  • P&L experience in a multi-million dollar operation.
  • Experience as middle manager coaching frontline managers.
  • Experience managing a sales force.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

Incumbent is required to have:

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
