Job Duties:

Develop detailed financial models (including restructuring, financing, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) models). Participate in pitches and calls with clients. Complete asset level due diligence on buyer/seller portfolio. Review legal documentation. Participate and/or conduct due diligence sessions with companies. Work with Analysts to develop financial models and pitch book materials, conduct company research, and analyze data to help advise current or prospective corporate clients on actual or prospective M&A transactions and corporate finance offerings. Execute capital markets transactions, including review of legal documents, completing Know Your Client, performing company-level due diligence, and preparing committee memos. Present market updates and new ideas to clients, including, but not limited to, capital markets, M&A, and capital raising. Maintain internal logs of precedent transactions, actively follow M&A deals in the space, calculate premiums paid, and calculate valuations. Train new Analysts and Interns to provide guidance on real estate concepts and financial modeling. Track the real estate group’s profit and maintain pipeline to assist with internal business management. Develop sector-based knowledge to present overviews of current trends, including through research on diligence sector trends. Proactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies in the business by actively monitoring internal processes. Escalate operational risk loss events, control deciencies, and risks identified to line manager and the relevant risk and control functions.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, and 5 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related experience in investment banking. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related experience in investment banking.

Must also possess at least 3 years of experience in the following:

  • Capital markets.
  • Spreadsheet modeling utilizing Microsoft Excel, including analysis at various prices, discounted cash flow analysis, ability to pay analysis, accretion/dilution, and leveraged buyout analysis.
  • Managing all aspects of transaction processes, including preparation of pitches, financial analyses, valuations, and marketing materials as well as conducting due diligence, managing day-to-day communication with client and counter-party.
  • Presenting analyses and deliverables in both internal and external meetings.
  • Transactional experience in both buy-side and sell-side mandates with public companies as well as fairness opinion assignments.

Must also possess 1 year of experience mentoring and staffing junior members of a team.

Must also possess Series 63 and 79 license (i.e. have passed Series 63 and 79 examinations).
