Our client an international valve manufacturer, renowed for design and manufacturer of high integrity valves including for use in non standard and critical applications. They have over 30 years of expertise, supplying a number of solution led designs to global Industries of Oil and Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Energy, Offshore and Steel to name a few.
Due to continued growth they are seeking a Vice President (VP) for their La Porte Branch in Harris County Texas with potential of around $150k Annual Salary based on Experience plus company bonus scheme with additional benefits .

Job Overview:
The VP will be responsible for ensuring efficient and cost effective: process workflow, manufacturing and assembly techniques to optimize branch operations. The VP will ensure manufacturing performance and quality targets are achieved or exceeded in alignment with the Organizations reputable “highest requirements and quality standards” for their products.” The VP, will provide added value to the international organization from their previous expertise. VP will direct and monitor workforce resourcing to maximize efficiency whilst ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.

The ideal candidate role and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
The VP will have previously worked in a similar role and be responsible for effectively planning, managing and sustaining the Company’s designated distribution and service efforts through the coordination and management of operations and business strategy. This position will also be responsible for demonstrating leadership in preserving the Safety and Quality of branch operations. The VP will maximize efficiency of branch operations and profits of the La Porte operation while and report direct to the company owner.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering products on time, in conformance with customers scope of work, Company’s Safety and operational standards, and industry code requirements.
  • Provide leadership, accountability, and mentoring to all direct reporting employees
  • Ensure daily production meetings are efficiently executed.
  • Ensure branch operates in accordance with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements outlined in Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure branch operates in accordance with all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements outlined in Company’s Safety manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Responsible for overseeing inventory, supplies, and equipment management.
  • Input to Director of Operations with Profit & Loss responsibilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key branch customers and suppliers.
  • Be at forefront of continuous improvement operations.
  • Ensure availability of resources by developing and maintaining production schedule.
  • Work with Human Resources for hiring, terminations, staff performance and development.
  • Responsible for all production and operational aspects of the facilities
  • Optimize manufacturing stock levels through inventory planning and management
  • Work with Quality/Safety Representatives to coordinate all quality/safety related functions pertaining to the operation of the company and the safety of company personnel

Positional Requirements & Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
  • BS in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering equivalent degree preferred
  • Experience in preparing engineering reports
  • Experience with traditional metal removing machinery, such as lathes, mills, OD/ID grinding, honing, lapping, deburring, sawing, etc.

  • Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record

Remuneration and benefits:
Base salary potential based on experience is around $150K plus a company bonus potential along with the following:
