What You’ll Do
About this role:
The Senior Scrum Master/Product Manager (S-SM) is responsible for leading local and offshore product development team members through software deliveries using a Scrumban methodology.
The S-SM position is part of the software development team in the Experience Design Group (XDG) and is an integral part of daily activity within the XDG. Activities consist of leading/facilitating SCRUM ceremonies such as standup, grooming and retrospective meetings, agile coaching, working with others to remove impediments and coordinating with the customer support team to perform field tests and software releases.
As the S-SM, you will work collaboratively through a Scrumban process with members of the product development team to deliver an industry-changing user experience.

You will be responsible for:
The Sr. Scrum Master/Project Manager is responsible first and foremost to provide the leadership that will drive the team to a unified objective.
- Provide collaborative leadership.
- Initiate frequent and proactive communications.
- Proactive initiator of risk identification and resolution.
- Facilitate timely and effective confrontation of performance issues as they relate to the role of Scrum Master/Product Manager.
- Lead and coach problem solving.
- Create and sustain an operating environment conducive to open thinking.
- Practice effective situational leadership to address needs of cross-functional team.
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
In order to be successful in this role, you will bring:
- BA/BS or MS degree
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) Industry certification required
- Software development, Hardware/Software integration knowledge desired
- PMI-ACP, Agile Certified Practitioner desired
- PMI-PMP, Project Management Professional certification desired
- 7+ years’ experience in a technical software development environment
- 3-4 years’ experience as a Software Program/Project Manager using Agile techniques.
- Must be able to mentor team members in various areas of agile process improvement
- Demonstrated experience driving software development planning and execution, removing/escalating impediments, reporting risks, impediments, sprint, and release progress.
- Demonstrated experience for managing software project schedules, timelines, and SCRUM/Kanban teams to ensure that products are shipped on time, within budget and meeting quality standards set by the company.
- Must be able to effectively facilitate team estimation of product back-log items and in identifying/managing cross-organization dependencies.
- Demonstrated facilitation skills and the ability maintain working relationships with all levels of the organization and across multidisciplinary groups, including hardware engineering, design, user research, and customer service.
- Demonstrate great problem-solving skills and high intellectual horsepower, including a strong passion for new ideas and the ability to advocate for how they would be best vetted/implemented.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Normal office conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
This is a full-time position with occasional extended work hours as required by the business cadence. Regular travel is not expected for the Senior Scrum Master/Product Manager position, but occasional travel for business and company support may be required at times.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light physical effort in an office environment. Some lifting of parts / products may be required in the manufacturing areas.
