Position Summary:

The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing projects within the NCR ITS Infrastructure portfolio to ensure deliverables meet or exceed stakeholder expectations while ensuring the realization of benefits within the time, cost, and quality constraints. The role will be accountable to drive the projects utilizing standardized software development lifecycle processes including Waterfall, Kanban and Agile. A high-level knowledge of infrastructure and technical knowledge is required in this role along with strong communication and project management skills. The role will report to the PMO lead of Infrastructure.

Key Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Creates and tracks program and project plans, milestones, deliverables and status
  • Develops all project artifacts as per NCR PMO guidelines
  • Prepares project status reports as needed by different stakeholders and leads project status meetings
  • Coordinates with IT management, business managers, resource managers and the PMO manager for resource assignments, creation of project deliverables, issue resolution and escalation
  • Complies with NCR project management methodologies as appropriate for the given project (Waterfall, Kanban, Iterative, Agile) and supports requirements from internal and external audits teams
  • Maintains project budgets including monthly accruals and forecasts
  • Overall responsibility to deliver projects within scope, schedule and budget
  • Possesses critical soft skills and especially strong communication skills, both written and oral Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills

Required Skills:

  • Good understanding of the PMI / PMBOK methodology (Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk Management, Procurement)
  • Able to manage large complex projects independently and lead multiple projects simultaneously Established leadership skills in a matrix organization structure
  • Strong understanding of MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignment
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing set of complex projects
  • Strong technical writing skills producing clear and unambiguous deliverables
  • Solid understanding and knowledge in some of these concepts and technologies: Telecommunication, Storage, Servers, IT Security, Virtualization, Desktops, Active Directory, data centers migrations and upgrades
  • Provide leadership and guidance to multiple, concurrent programs and projects, while working in a global matrix-managed team environment.
  • Identify and effectively resolve issues and conflicts within and among project teams. Conduct regularly scheduled program/project status and issue reviews.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Project Management or related discipline
  • 4+ years of experience in overall project management, with proven history of successful implementations
  • 2+ years of experience managing projects in IT infrastructure and operations, network implementation, Data Center migration and Security domains

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering infrastructure and/or software development projects, including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs and change management, Network projects, Data Center migration, upgrades and some operations experience
  • Possession of the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Six Sigma methodology experience (Green or Black Belt level)
  • ITIL Certification (Foundation) is a plus
  • Agile Training & certifications (Scrum master, Product Owner, etc.)
