Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of sprints to support the delivery of software product
  • Planning responsibilities include facilitation of planning meetings to identify the product
  • backlog items to be worked in a sprint and estimating the level of effort of development activities
  • Execution responsibilities include leading daily standup meetings, tracking progress by keeping the sprint backlog up-to-date, and helping to remove impediments.
  • Closing activities include conducting an end of sprint meeting where sprint products are demonstrated to stakeholders, reporting on scrum team productivity & development progress, and conducting the end of sprint retrospective with the scrum team
  • Foster collaboration and communication between team members on technical issues, on process improvements, and in addressing and escalating project risks and issues
  • Manage QA and engineering team interactions, reviewing any and all bugs found in QA to properly prioritize them in the backlog or sprint
  • Facilitate product owner input and team interactions. Ensure the communication of scope and requirements changes throughout the team, including sprint impact analysis
  • Create predictable and reliable capacity assessments, effort estimations, and delivery forecasts
  • Create an environment of team spirit and enthusiasm around what is being delivered
  • Provide expertise in identifying process improvements to reduce defects and errors and improve overall team productivity
  • Own project tracking software, configuring and adjusting as needed
  • Manage a couple other non-scrum technical projects (waterfall) utilizing off-shore teams
  • Create and maintain process documentation


General Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Agile Scrum as Scrum Master
  • 5+ years of experience in project management


Specialized Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with customer-facing web and mobile product development teams
  • Robust experience utilizing Jira for tracking agile epics, features, user stories, capacity, product life cycle and release management
  • Technical background and with some development experience is preferred
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (required)
  • PMP certification (preferred)
