TechFlow’s focus on expansion and growth has created an opportunity to bring on a Scrum Master. This position plays an important role as the servant leader of our digital modernization effort. The right person will be passionate, focused and upbeat! Candidates must have deep technical skills balanced with good business instincts. The candidate will have experience and knowledge in modernizing legacy systems and applications, DevOps process and tools, Cloud-native development and deployment, User Research and Design, Data Visualization, Data Analytics, Full Stack Development, and deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban, SAFe).
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the day-to-day activities of up to two scrum teams. Conduct daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning meetings and retrospectives. Assist Product Owners with sprint review meetings.
- Track team velocity towards goals and provide documentation such as burn-down charts for weekly and monthly status reports.
- Identify dependencies between backlog items within and across teams and makes Product Owners or other teams aware of them.
- Remove impediments affecting teams or team members by raising issues to DevOps, management, IT and other teams as needed.
- Work with Product Owners to prioritize product backlog items by providing technical insight into the work being requested â assist with the cost vs. value trade-off.
- Be the eyes and ears for your teams. Watch for and share technical information from other parts of the organization that can help make your teams more productive or save on rework.
- Participate in the annual performance review process by providing brief write-ups about team members to their functional managers.
- May act as an interface and customer advocate to ensure customer, stakeholder, and user needs are being addressed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
- Scrum Master Certification
- 7 or more years in Scrum Master or Project Lead role, experience in enterprise application, product positioning and forecasting
- Extremely creative and innovative to enable the development of new products
- Excellent people skills that facilitate smooth and positive interactions with end-users
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate smooth conveyance of information
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance or higher
