Job Title: Regional Store Manager
Reports To: Director of Food and Beverage
Job Purpose
Initially our Regional Store Manager will oversee two of our Starbucks stores located in Wilmington, DE. The manager brings the Starbucks experience to life by managing operations, driving financial success, building great teams, and building a meeting place in their communities. Because connections made with customers and a world class brand, their day-to-day work goes beyond the perfect beverage. Future opportunities may arise to manage other BPG food outlets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for profitability of two Starbucks stores by seeking opportunities to increase sales, manage inventory, costs of goods sold and labor costs for both stores.
- Maintains financial reports.
- Maintains final accountability for operations, associate development, and financial contribution.
- Ensures the proper types and amounts of materials, supplies, and merchandise are ordered and stocked. Effectively communicates new product information to the associates.
- Ensures proper staffing levels are maintained in accordance with budget daily sales.
- Determines daily and weekly staffing requirements, schedules and distributes work hours and schedules vacations and days off to manage labor costs.
- Maintains Skills and Knowledge Tracking Sheet and ensures timely training of new hires.
- Ensures all company policies, store operating standards, and procedures are communicated effectively and maintained in a consistent manner.
- Organizes work throughout the store in a manner that facilitates efficient customer service and profitable operation.
- Ensures all customers receive the highest quality product and customer service possible.
- Ensures store appearance and equipment are maintained in a consistent manner.
- Maintains consistent speed of service to the customer by ensuring all store-staffing requirements are met.
- Successfully completes and implements all Starbucks Advanced Store Training, Barista Training and Barista Trainer Training.
- Executes and oversees all cash management procedures daily.
- Ensures successful launch of all Starbucks marketing and store promotions.
- Able to multitask and delegate responsibilities in order to effectively and efficiently manage two stores.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial mentality with experience in a sales focused environment
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and mentor team partners with professional maturity
- Ability to work full time including variable hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and/ or holidays.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- 3+ years retail / customer service management experience
- Must have prior Starbucks management experience.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking, standing, and bending
- 45-50hr work week.
- Frequent operation of office & store equipment; such as a computer, telephone, beverage machines, cash register, cleaning supplies, etc.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling objects up to 15 lbs.
