The City of DeBary is accepting applications for a Recreation Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Recreation Department, including planning, budgeting, development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the City’s recreational and contracted programs, camps, special events, facility rentals and related services. This position supervises 10-15 employees and works occasional evenings, weekends and holidays.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation administration, business, public administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university and three (3) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The salary range for this exempt full-time position is $41,830 to $62,745 with a competitive benefits package. The City’s practice is to hire at the minimum of the pay grade. Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license or ability to obtain within four weeks of date of hire is required. Applicants selected for employment must pass a criminal background check.
