Position Overview

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking Quality Manager to join the team located in New Orleans, LA.

Position Responsibilities

  • Performs management activities across multiple (2 or more) Quality Management Job Families.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System. Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.


Basic Qualifications:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace manufacturing.
  • 1+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a quality job role.
  • Experience with QMS (Quality Management System) and AS9100.
  • Experience preparing and presenting to executives.
  • Experience working in a Defense or Space related program (e.g. NASA, DoD, etc.)
  • Experience with Boeing Problem Solving Methods (BPSM)
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies (DCMA, NASA).
  • Experience with Data Analytics, Integrated Quality Data System (IQDS).
