District Cloud Solutions is a growing Microsoft Silver Partner. We are currently looking for a Project Manager. As a part of MCIA’s Project Management Office (PMO), provide comprehensive project management leadership and expertise throughout a variety of project management frameworks to successfully achieve the Command’s highest priorities
General Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the project management lifecycle for priority command projects.
- Drafts required project artifacts and supporting documentation, including, but not limited to: project charters, project management plans, project schedules, work breakdown structures, and other required communications, project meeting minutes, and lessons learned.
- Drafts and presents project information and decision briefs to project personnel and command leadership.
- Helps evaluate strategic initiatives to establish candidate projects with corresponding project visions and objectives across a wide spectrum of possible efforts that could include Information Technology, process evaluation, facilities, and intelligence capabilities.
- Analyzes tough challenges to collect data, formulate courses-of-action development and draft/present business cases in order to assist the command make a determination for formal project initiation or other solution.
- Works independently, or in a team (often as the project management lead) of Government, Military, and Contractors to methodically achieve objectives.
- Communicates and coordinates with all MCIA elements and echelons to include Government, Military, and Contractor personnel.
- Conducts strategic communication activities to meaningfully connect with the workforce and external stakeholders.
- Participates in process improvement and called upon to demonstrate successful problem solving.
Mandatory Skills Required:
- Minimum clearance: Active Top Secret / SCI
- Active Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification, or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) PM2 qualified.
- BA (+12 years experience) or High School Diploma (+14 years experience)
- Experience with Marine Corps, other service, DoD, or other Federal or commercial enterprise support
- Seven (7) years experience supervising or managing teams
- Eight (8) years experience supporting Government projects within Department of Defense, other Federal Government, or supporting industry
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including drafting formal documentation and presenting information or decision briefs to leadership.
- Knowledge of standard DoD and Marine Corps concepts, practices, and procedures.
Other Preferred Skills:
- Expertise with Agile Methodologies; particularly Agile Scrum, or Kanban
- Scrum Master Certified
- Prior experience using project management or visualization software tools such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft TFS, Microsoft Visio, or JIRA.
