The Project Manager is responsible for the overall communication and completion of each project including project scheduling with the customer. This position also coordinates the installation with the customer, technical personnel and any associated sub-contractors of other trades. The job duties include the management of multiple projects inclusive of assisting in bid preparation through final completion and acceptance by the Fire Marshall.

Essential Functions:

  • Actively support and adhere to the Company Safety Policy
  • Coordinate with sales to ensure competitiveness and accurate bids to customers
  • Perform job walks as needed to determine project scope
  • Be responsible for existing account management including estimating and managing tenant improvements
  • Participate in scheduled training both as a participant and a facilitator
  • Work directly with customer to establish and publish project timeline and completion date
  • Coordinate project documentation with Engineering Department
  • Coordinate Material delivery requirements and timely billings with Sales Administrators
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the scope of work on individual projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
  • Coordinate and assist in development of any project change orders
  • Be aware of local trends and requests by “Authorities Having Jurisdiction
  • Remain current in industry codes such as NFPA and UBC
  • Other duties as required and/or assigned by Red Hawk Management
  • Interact effectively with all levels of Red Hawk personnel

Requirements

  • Associates degree (2 year) in electronics from an accredited college or three (3) years work experience in the Fire Protection Industry
  • NICET Level II desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
  • Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
  • Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations as well as manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date
  • Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation
  • Ability to obtain ACE License
  • Moderate travel is required
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, will conduct background and drug test

  • Present a professional image of Red Hawk Fire & Security when speaking with customers (all levels)
  • Ability to obtain other appropriate licenses/certificates as required
  • Experience with software (i.e.: Microsoft Project)
