Summary
Serves as the primary technical and administrative liaison between clients and Pace Analytical Services, Inc. through daily coordination of activities including taking orders, reporting data and analytical results. Represents laboratory services to prospective and existing clients and maintains client records.
Serves as the primary technical and administrative liaison between clients and Pace Analytical Services, Inc. through daily coordination of activities including taking orders, reporting data and analytical results. Represents laboratory services to prospective and existing clients and maintains client records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:
- Responsible for preparation of routine quotations and reports.
- Responsible for solicitation of work requests, assisting with proposal preparation and project initiation/preparation with clients and operationally within Pace Analytical. This includes mediation of project schedules and scope of work through communication with Pace operations and management.
- Utilize client and internal resources to assist in preparing Quality Assurance Plans, analytical methods, set data quality objectives and define data deliverable requirements.
- Responsible for project setup, oversight of sample receipts, monitoring project status and ensuring samples are collected, analyzed, documented and reported in conformance with client requirements. Routinely the Project Manager submits project status reports to clients and Pace Analytical management and submits project deliverable and invoice to the client.
- Responsible for client follow-up to include client satisfaction, additional projects, market status, to potentially increase revenue with clients.
- Promotes cooperation and teamwork among staff.
- Must follow Pace Analytical Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications

- Education and/or Experience – BA/BS in chemistry or related science preferred with two years’ technical experience in environmental remediation.
- Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.
- Work Environment – The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may works near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or board of directors both verbally and in writing.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Computer Skills – Proficient use of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office products especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and the ability to multi task between products.
