Edgewater Automation designs and builds custom automation equipment for assembly and test applications. As our business continues to grow, we have an immediate need for a full-time Project Manager to join our team.

This position is at our headquarters in Saint Joseph, Michigan – a spectacular vacation community on sparkling Lake Michigan, where swimming, fishing, water sports, and beach volleyball are abundant. Vineyards, orchards, glistening rivers and inland lakes surround us. A short 90-minute drive from Chicago, Southwest Michigan is also home to a new Jack Nicklaus signature golf course called Harbor Shores, 17 other public golf courses, nearly 20 wineries, six microbreweries, two art districts, many seasonal festivals, outdoor concerts and events all year long. MAJOR DUTIES:

The primary responsibility is for the management of projects from the receipt of a purchase order through installation and commissioning of the equipment. This person is the single-point contact for the customer and is responsible for budget and scheduling. In this role you will be working with a talented team of people with decades of experience designing and building custom automation.

In addition, some application and sales assistance may be required. This includes meetings with potential customers, concepting, quoting, proposals, and customer presentations. Some overnight travel will be part of this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • BS in ME/MET or EE/EET (desired, but not required).

Experience:

Five years or more of project management experience in automation or industrial systems integration.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 to $99,000.00 /year

Experience:

  • Industrial Automation: 3 years (Required)
  • Industrial Automation Design: 5 years (Preferred)

License:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) (Preferred)
