Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations or equivalent relevant experience
- 7 years of experience in payments, financial technology, identity verification, KYC (know your customer), fraud/risk, payments compliance or similar operations.
- 3 years should managing projects in one of the above areas.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing projects and using project management tools.
- Proven track record working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment to lead and drive complex initiatives globally.
- Strong understanding of systems, operations, internal controls, requirements. documentation, testing, validation and program management.
- Demonstrated ability to autonomously drive and prioritize multiple initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex escalations in a timely and efficient manner, effectively balancing risks.

As part of this team, you proactively identify pain points and gaps in existing policy frameworks and find innovative solutions. The Identity Verifications Operations (IDV) team, within Payments Compliance, helps keep our Payments ecosystem safe and secure by ensuring that our Payments customers are who they say they are. In the role of IDV Program Manager you will be responsible for structured and rigorous planning and execution for our team’s initiatives. You will apply exceptional leadership, organizational and communications skills to manage diverse and complex projects. High quality launches, collaborative project teams, and happy stakeholders define success for this role. You will partner across various teams to continuously keep our initiatives on track. You are detail-oriented and see to it that as Google pursues our next big idea, we always have our bases covered.

Responsibilities
- Lead stakeholders in the creation, prioritization and rationalization of project requirements.
- Create project plans (scope, schedule, budget) and manage the project team’s execution and stakeholder expectations through the project lifecycle
- Run project meetings, hold project team members accountable to deadlines and ensure high quality project deliverables.
- Manage project issues / risks, facilitate escalations when needed to senior management, publish regular project status, and own project communications (eg: newsletters).
- Contribute actively to improving project management and other governance best practices across the team.
