Operations Manager

Operation manager is the leader of the production facilities and its personnel.
Seeking a “working” operations manager for our Compost & soils division to oversee all daily operations of the Fulton location from safety, raw materials, production, manufacturing and shipping to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
Daily Tasks:
As the compost & soils operations manager, you’ll need to do the following things and much more in order to accomplish the goals of the company:

• Oversee the production process and production team
• Supervise, coach and motivate your team of workers
• Develop and communicate the schedule to your team
• Hold daily communication meetings with your people
• Monitor that quality standards are being met
• Be responsible for the maintenance of equipment thru your team
• Ensure that health and safety policies, rules and guidelines are followed by all personnel, contractors and vendors
• Review worker performance with Supervisor
• Identify training needs
• Ensure that the workplace is safe and that all personnel are trained
• Establish and monitor overall sites performance for production and quality standards.
• Control and minimize labor overtime and repair expenses.
• Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or adjust plant facilities and equipment when necessary and agreed upon with Supervisor.
• Sites and equipment must be kept clean at all times and free from build-up of mulch and dirt on all surfaces.
• Must look at the sites and evaluate for any fire hazards and eliminate.
• Provides direction, development and leadership to team.

A large part of the job is dealing with people management.
Requirements of a compost & soils operations manager:
· Skills sufficient to operate all ESFP machinery within this division
· Be knowledgeable of safety, quality and productivity
· Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
· Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
