Methods – Tooling Manager

Reporting to the Industrialization Manager, the Methods – Tooling Manager leads the methods and manufacturing processes to optimize production QCD performance (organization of the work, tooling and processes).

What are my responsibilities?

• Propose, set up, and improve the manufacturing processes: workstations, tooling, industrialization rules, routings, assembly instructions
• Set up and maintain the bookshop of times / methods library
• Design and optimize the machines setting-up in workshops as well as the organization of every workstation
• Support for continuous improvement of manufacturing lines
• Participate in the design of machines and specific tooling equipment
• Contribute to Process FMEA and associated improvement action plan
• Qualify industrial means related to manufacturing, repairs and rework
• Ensure the technology watch to evolve process and manufacturing means
• Develop and ensure the follow-up of the performance indicators of production tools and set up the associated action plans (predictive, preventive or curative actions)
• Complies with EHS Alstom and external standards
• Issue relevant documents in the Quality System
• Ensure schedules, inputs and QCD targets are achieved
• Supports overhead budget, CAPEX and investments related to new manufacturing equipment

Job Requirements

• Engineering bachelor degree in process engineering, electronics, electrical or mechanical domain.
• 5 years directly related experience in industrial environment

• A clear understanding of co-engineering and methods principles is essential
• The successful candidate will be someone who has a passion for extending their knowledge and is detail oriented in their everyday working life. Inherent desire to understand complex technologies and solutions. Able to resolve complex, multi-functional problems
• A strong communicator with the ability to interact at all levels within internal and external organizations
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of SAP
