Summary:

The Manufacturing Manager will provide the leadership necessary to translate BEL USA goals and objectives with the Mission, Values and strategies into functional activities within the Production area and drive the organization towards a more constructive culture and higher performance. The position will have the responsibility to manage the production processes and execute manufacturing initiatives for improving efficiencies in all operational processes.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Directs and coaches managers, supervisors and hourly associates with respect to production volume, cost, quality of production and meeting of production schedules and delivery dates.
  • Defines and recommends a manufacturing plan that meets outlined strategic goals.
  • Participates in the development of department forecasts and budgets and administers the department within the limits of the approved budget.(Working together with department managers and supervisors)
  • Participates in long-range planning affecting current and future business performance.
  • Recommends and implements the purchase of capital equipment, layout changes, production methods and material handling procedures.
  • Directs the preparation of cost control reports and cost estimates. Forecasts labor hours and facilities requirements.
  • Adherence to local, State, and Federal regulations inclusive but not limited to OSHA, DOT, and EEOC.
  • Supports and administers approved company policies, mission, vision and objectives and clearly communicates to all associates.
  • Directs and coaches the preparation of specifications for purchase of equipment and services, including operations equipment, supplies and materials to meet production schedules, improve efficiencies, and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Monitors acceptable performance levels and investigates the means in which departments can improve procedures.
  • Promotes quality awareness and waste reduction initiatives. Must be experienced in Lean Manufacturing Principals and Process Improvement initiatives.
  • Practices and promotes the use of problem solving, process improvement, lean manufacturing, and teamwork principles.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels, including analyzing staffing needs, participating in recruitment and selection, and conducting and overseeing performance reviews.
  • Participates in the development and compliance of company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices. Clearly communicates information and objectives to operations associates.
  • Reliable, regular attendance is essential.
  • Supports teamwork through active participation and/or by helping team ideas work.
  • Performs duties safely and in accordance with Company safety policies.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned by manager or supervisor.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalency in Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven strong leadership skills with the ability to play a key leadership role within the organization as a whole.
  • Strong project management skills. Must be focused and pragmatic possessing a hands-on management style as well as the ability to see projects from conceptualization through implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal conflict resolution skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated positive results in identifying and executing opportunities for process improvements and automation. Proven track record in involving associates at all levels with process improvement, planning and implementation.
  • Positive, results-oriented manager with a strong work ethic, integrity and balanced judgment.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated strong cost control focus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Proactive, results oriented with the ability to execute resourcefully.
