If you enjoy initiating corrective action for product deficiencies and providing senior technical expertise for software program troubleshooting, if so, we have a position for you.
Responsibilities
TriWest Manager, QA and Testing:
Effective development and implementation of software quality assurance (SQA) programs to ensure that all software programs and products meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements.
o Supervise and lead a group of quality analysts in the Information Technology department
o Provide oversight and guidance to team for the effective and timely development of acceptance standards that support the quality objectives of the IT department
o Schedule and balance team activities to meet deadlines for deliverables and meetings
o Provide periodic reviews of team member performance using both formal and informal mechanisms o Mentor team members in best practices and skills development
o Escalate issues and problems to Senior Management that prevents or hinders the team’s ability to perform optimally
o Identify potential service level problems before they occur and implement or communicate solutions
o Lead implementation of departmental operating procedures, applicable security procedures and support/practice needs to ensure that the quality of service provided meets customer requirements
o Recommend and participate in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity
o Create and execute QA and testing processes on systems, networks, hardware and software
o Perform quantitative data analysis to gauge effectiveness and efficiency of processes, customer satisfaction and product/service quality
o Work closely with the software development team to ensure full knowledge of the proposed software design and that testing covers all aspects of intended functionality
o Work collaboratively with all IT teams to develop standard operating procedures and quality goals that ensure consistently high-quality products and services are delivered efficiently
o Monitor the effectiveness of processes and standard operating procedures within IT, identify weaknesses and assist in implementing improvements
o Monitor compliance with quality standards through reviews and audits on products and services delivered by the IT department
o Evaluate requirement documents to ensure the clear, concise and verifiable information o Develop and execute test plans that are traced to documented requirements
o Providing feedback on quality to the development team to induce changes in the development process
o Provide regular and timely communication to all IT teams on their performance regarding compliance with quality standards
o Report any deviations from established quality standards to the appropriate team and document corrective actions taken to ensure standards are suitable and understood by all members of the team.
o Review any complaints received from IT stakeholders, assist in identifying the cause and recommend corrective action if required
o Manage, control, direct, and supervise assigned direct reports, including general leadership, planning, organizing, and reviewing
o All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established
Qualifications
Are you qualified?
- Are you a Veteran, family member of a Veteran, a friend of a Veteran, or passionate about helping Veterans?
- Do you have a BS in Computer Science or a related field; professional experience may substitute for formal education?
- How about five years’ IT quality assurance and/or software development experience, including testing and/or programming?
- Do you have three years’ experience in either web application and relational databases, or desktop application technologies and relational databases?
- Do you have three years’ leading, managing and/or supervising people
- What about xperience in leading both automation and black box testing teams?
- Are you experienced in the healthcare industry?
