POSITION SUMMARY:

Manage all operations and project management of Marine Terminal including infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintain project schedules as needed to ensure timeliness of project completions

2. Assists with advising Executives in the development and implementation of various construction projects

3. Understand and enforce all governmental rules and union contracts as they relate to stevedoring operations

4. Act as liaison to labor, Management, and vendors

  • Compile data for planning purposes and complete various operational reports

6. Develop policies and procedures for Executives approval to control operations cost and efficiency

7. Review all regulations and documents pertaining to Marine Terminal and make recommendations as needed

8. Review terminal statistics and other relevant documents

9. Review and research regulations and other agreements with ports authority

10. Provides data and reports as requested by parent company and Executives

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s degree in transportation, law, or business plus a minimum of 3+ years of regulatory or maritime industry experience preferred.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Professional Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet a must.

· Must have ability to adapt to new technological software programs, including proprietary programs.

· Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize a must.

· Must have the ability to work independently and take initiative and follow through with little or no supervision.

· Must be a team player that can build effective working relationships.

· Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

· Must be able to work with a diverse group of workers, customers, vendors, and partners.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.

· Requires ability in interact at all levels of the organization to assess business requirements and to plan, manage and deliver working solutions to meet those requirements.

· Prior experience with Logistic, Transportation, Distribution or Stevedoring a plus.

· Ability to relate information from multitude of sources.

· Flexible to a changing list of priorities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Ability to work overtime; weekends, holidays and nights, as necessary.

· Ability to drive a vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.

· Ability to climb stairs and traversing uneven surfaces.

· Ability to sit for long periods of time.

· Ability to bend, reach, pull, push and lift up to 45 pounds.

· Verbal and hearing skills sufficient to understand English and work safely.

· Travel may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 /year
