Overview:
The IT Operations Manager is the lead technical resource supporting SOC businesses and associated projects. Assists VP/Director of IT for Government Services with the evaluation and documentation of business technology opportunities and solution requirements. Manage IT personnel, contractors, resources and activities for multiple business unit locations including international project sites. Plan, direct, and coordinate the development, implementation, deployment and operation of technical infrastructure, information systems and data protection to directly satisfy business and customer requirements. Advocate corporate IT initiatives / policies and integrate standard IT support processes into Business Unit operations. Fulfill the role of ISSM for SOC Special Programs in accordance with DSS Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other customer required security protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Data custodian supporting the data protection life-cycle including development/maintenance of a classified network using applicable DSS RMF, NIST, NISPOM, and CMMC standards.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate the IT objectives, initiatives and activities of an international Government Services business to drive operational excellence, maximum benefit, adoption and sustainability from technology solutions.
- Responsible for SOC IT Support Services including business and productivity applications, devices, maintaining service levels, monitoring resource performance, sustaining quality of service, resolving issues or managing escalations.
- Facilitate technical integration activities with Corporate and Business Operational Resources to enable collaborative project execution and satisfy customer / contract requirements.
- Attract, retain, and develop employees. Evaluate team members for compliance with established goals/objectives, contributions in attaining goals/objectives, and overall performance. Manage team, conduct employee performance reviews, development of staff goals, responsible for skills development or performance improvement actions for direct reports.
- Manage technology services procurement process, maintenance and vendor performance
Qualifications:
- Strong technical aptitude and data protection knowledge; Broad understanding of hardware, software and network systems required; Experience working with ERP systems (Costpoint and/or SAP preferred). Understanding of relevant DSS RMF, NIST, NISPOM, and CMMC security standards.
- Experience managing consultants, vendors and project resources required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clarify problems or requests quickly and effectively; Ability to handle difficult & sensitive situations in a professional manner
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex system implementations required.
- Demonstrated presentation skills required. Detail oriented with strong organization and interpersonal skills. Ability to impart knowledge to diverse groups of people in a concise, detailed manner that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding
- Technical Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
- Minimum of 7-10 years relevant work experience required. Minimum of 3 years in a management role highly preferred
- Top Secret Government Security Clearances required.
- Experience as an ISSM implementing DSS RMF, NISPOM and ICD IS requirements while working in a secure environment.
- Experience working for a government contractor.
- Willingness to travel OCONUS occasionally.
