Fast-paced local restaurant and bar are seeking a full-time Restaurant General Manager. The ideal candidate should have an upbeat and positive attitude, be flexible and detail-oriented at all times demonstrating the ability to multi-task.
- Manage assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan.
- Manage and monitor the fiscal budget, operations of assigned department(s) and marketing strategies to produce both short term and long term profitability.
- Manage the delivery and measurement of guest service within the assigned department(s) consistent with the companyâs core service standards and brand attributes.
- Manage human resource responsibilities for assigned department(s) to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the companyâs diversity commitment.
- Supervise dining room and kitchen activities to ensure quality production/delivery of products and services. Communicate daily with Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef in charge, providing current information on large parties of VIPs expected.
- Responsible for smooth, efficient, cost-effective operation of restaurant to include labor management, supervision of all aspects of service and inventory control.
- Interact with guests frequently to ensure satisfaction and enjoyment of the dining experience. React to any quest complaint and take appropriate action.
- Adhere to federal, state and local regulations concerning health safety or other compliance requirements.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience in the hospitality industry and previous experience in scheduling and staffing is required.
- Must have at least one (1) year of general management experience in a high-volume restaurant, preferably in a casino environment.
- Two (2) years of college education in a related field, and/or equivalent work experience in F&B.
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- A Bachelorâs Degree from four-year College or university and/or course certification from an accredited Culinary Institute is preferred.
- General understanding of F&B division, budgeting, cost controls, profit and loss statements, labor costs, food and beverage costs, and operation expenses.
- Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills to deal effectively with guests, employees, and management.
- Strong organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints with particular attention to detail and quality of service.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, associates, and hourly employees.
- Ability to effectively listen and administer instructions, make decisions quickly and delegate responsibilities accordingly and remain calm and manage multiple tasks in very-high paced and stressful environment.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Able to frequently move freely, sit for long periods and withstand various activities such as frequent walking, standing, and bending.
- Able to maintain manual dexterity to access the computer via a computer keyboard and operate office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, etc.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral form. Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
