As Director, Customer Onboarding you will report to the EVP Customer Operations and your main focus will be to lead a team of project managers that deploy our software to customers.
Current experience in managing software implementation projects is a must. Please do not apply unless you have current and relevant project management experience.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a passion for organization, good business acumen, be highly detailed oriented, and have the drive to complete and deliver solid solutions. Additionally understanding the sales cycle and having experience with customer-facing applications are key.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The main priority of the Director, Customer Onboarding is to successfully onboard all customers ensuring complete delivery of all project items, attaining stated KPIâs and reaching the goal of Onboarding Complete.
- Provide leadership, expertise and direction on one or more large-scale complex projects or programs as well as oversight on all projects assigned to the onboarding teams at all levels.
- Offer advanced-level project management expertise and directly influence activities on business-critical projects from the conceptual phase through solution implementation and project close.
- Serve as a single responsible point-of-contact for status of all projects.
- Use industry-standard best practices in order to assure delivery of project goals and objectives, and milestones and deliverables.
- Assist in the direction and/or training of project team members where deemed appropriate.
Requirements
PRIMARY SKILLS REQUIRED
- Current experience in managing software implementation projects is a must.
- Experience and understanding of customer-facing projects ranging from Enterprise to smaller team projects.
- Collaborate and communicate with senior members of the executive team and provide them with information about the status of all projects, and escalating issues when appropriate.
- Advanced knowledge and use of formal project management methodologies as well as industry-standard trends and best practices in project management.
- Strong ability to work with others in order to achieve a common goal, resolve conflicts and manage cross-functional and external relationships; demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence without authority.
- Ability to contribute to a positive work environment and install a ‘sense of urgency’ and motivation in others.
- Ability to solve problems by considering available information, prioritizing and making timely decisions; correlates data using standard business tools and approaches, spots trends and applies sound risk management principles.
- Experience in oral and written communications with all levels of stakeholders from various cross-functional and support staff to senior level executives (authored writing samples required).
- Ability to assemble and guide a cross-functional team to achieve assigned goals and objectives.
- Must be able to forecast, plan for and meet deadlines.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years experience in leading customer-facing organizations
- Ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building
- Ideally combined background of post-sale and sales experience
- Strong empathy for customers AND passion for revenue and growth
- Deep understanding of value drivers in SaaS recurring revenue business models
- Analytical and process-oriented mindset
- Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement
- Enthusiastic and creative leader with the ability to inspire others
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, and 2+ yearsâ experience managing small to moderately large ERP projects or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience equal to 4 – 7 years.
