Job Purpose:
The Contracting Manager is responsible for establishing specialty pharmacy payor contracts and restricted drug purchasing contracts on behalf of each partnering health system.
Job Duties:
- Source specialty pharmacy and retail pharmacy payor contracts on behalf of each partnering health system;
- Source limited distribution drug contracts with drug manufacturers on behalf of each partnering health system;
- Develop specialty pharmacy contracting partnerships with self-funded employers;
- Assist in the development of comparative analysis related to patient total cost of care;
- Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential;
- Collaborate with internal team members to support URAC, ACHC and other industry certifications;
- Other duties as assigned;
Experience/ Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business and/or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant business experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to extract relevant information, strong organizational skills a must
- Organized, high-integrity, attention to detail, dependable, quality focus, empathetic, good listener/communicator
- Energetic, highly motivated, team player with strong personal and communication skills; discretion and confidentiality essential as position deals with highly sensitive and private data
