Overview:

One of the fastest growing home improvement companies in the US, with 18 locations across 6 states, is looking to add an innovative operations and project management leader to join our executive team. COO will play an integral role in setting the company’s vision and strategic direction within our operations and production departments. The COO will be a forward thinking, strategic planner and will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive operations plan aimed at streamlining our project management department, as well as assisting in the evolution to an ecommerce sales model. The COO will be highly visible and critical to our evolution. They will have the ability and expectation to make an immediate and significant impact.

Essential Functions:

· Liaise with peers and superiors to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals

· Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress and set comprehensive goals for performance and growth

· Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures

· Establish policies that promote company culture and vision

· Oversee operations of the company and the work of executives

· Manage procurement processes and coordinate resources allocation as well as participate in expansion activities

· Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction and lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication

· Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability

· Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation

· Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors

· Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics

· Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations

Qualifications:

· BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MS/MA will be a plus

· Proven experience as Director of Operations/Chief Operating Officer or equivalent position

· Excellent organizational and leadership abilities along with outstanding communication, people skills combined with excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills

· Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines

· In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.) and understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc. Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development

· Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

· Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM); working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office as well as aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
