Job Profile/ description: Assistant Project Manager
Assist Project Manager to coordinate and execute all project prep and operations to
maintain schedule, cost, and client experience (100% office)
i. Ensure a safe, productive, efficient work environment consistent with Company values
ii. Understand contract scope of work and parameters
iii. Assist with quantity takeoffs from construction documents
iv. Project Tracking: Assist to creating and maintaining consistent project spreadsheets/schedule of values to monitor costs/purchases/schedule/subcontracts.
v. Assist Project Manager with Purchase and scheduling of project labor and materials
1. Subcontracts:
a. send RFPs
b. process and file executed subcontracts
2. Purchase orders for materials:
a. send RFQs
b. process and file executed purchase orders
vi. Assist to process and file Change Order documents.
vii. Assist to maintain project schedule documents in UDA software. viii. Coordinate with Site Supervisor/Assistant Site Supervisor to monitor and document in-house and subcontractor labor per Davis-Bacon requirements.
ix. Visit site as needed to verify data and project status.
x. Communicate daily with Project Manager and attend weekly project team meetings.
xi. Communicate with subcontractors / vendors regularly and confidently.
xii. Represent and the Company to clients, vendors, employees and the public, backing up Project Manager with clients, and vendors as needed
xiii. Create and maintain job binders, digital files, keeping project team informed
xiv. Assist with research, pricing and purchase of project equipment, fixtures and finishes as needed. xv. Feels comfortable setting and maintaining job deadlines for subcontracts/change orders/submittals xvi. Responsible for preparing monthly draw package including collecting all required documents from subcontractors, preparing billing spreadsheet, etc
a. Assist in pre construction management, office work as needed
b. Handle temporary delegated authority of Project Manager or Site Supervisor

Technical Requirements

a. Read and become familiar with all relevant construction documents (including but not limited to: drawing plan sets, specification sheets, written contracts and scopes, code reference documents, safety practices, etc).
b. Ability to maintain Gantt chart schedules, work flows, UDA software, communicate with others via email, use Microsoft office software, misc other software
c. Oral and written personal and technical communication ability
d. Ability to research and self-educate continually
e. Create and maintain job schedules, binders, paper and digital files
f. Basic estimating and reporting using UDA software, excel spreadsheets, worksheets
g. Basic graphic communication skills.

Stats
a. Self performed labor documentation via timecards and logs
b. Daily reports for onsite subcontractors, self-performing labor
c. Assist Project Manager in maintaining job schedules, binders, paper and digital files
d. Assist to track project costs and weekly reconcile to estimate using UDA software

Hazards
a. Normal hazards associated with residential and commercial construction

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 to $25.00 /hour

Experience:
