Job Summary:
The VP of Engineering will lead and manage the day to day aspects of the engineering organization for all product development across software, hardware and test. Must have a proven ability to successfully manage and timely deliver large complex engineering projects that build, enhance and support Owl’s growth Roadmap.

Must have a proven ability to successfully manage and timely deliver large complex engineering projects that build, enhance and support Owl’s growth Roadmap.
Essential Functions
- Execute on development plans to achieve the company’s technical vision
- Must have experience with full product lifecycle
- Experience delivering products to market in a timely manner
- Ability to identify technical resources needed and how they need to be deployed across various projects
- Define and shape engineering best practices
- Work closely with Technology and Product managers to continuously deliver well-crafted, solutions that create real business value
- Ensure that the team is motivated and aligned with business needs via consistent feedback
- Collaborate on key architectural decisions and design considerations to ensure high quality, scalability, maintainability, and resiliency
- Must be well versed in software development, hardware and network systems integration
- Ability to work with regulatory requirements for DoD and commercial agency approval
- Coach and provide guidance to senior engineering leaders on management and technical tracks

Education and Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing Engineering resources
- Background in Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) a plus
- BS Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent; Advanced technical degrees are valued
- Direct experience with hardware and software engineering solutions build on Linux Platforms
- Knowledge of C, C++, C# development efforts
- Experience with regulatory requirements approval processes
