Our client is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to join their management team and help shape the future of the company. Reporting to the CEO, this key individual will lead and manage the engineering and operations teams responsible for building and delivering their globally deployed network at a guaranteed 99.999% service level.

Qualifications:
- BSCS/EE or MSCS/EE with 15+ years’ experience.
- Experience with Agile software development (e.g. scrum, Kanban)
- Familiarity with the capabilities and limitations of networking concepts and protocols as well as today’s leading standards and technologies including: Websockets, streaming environments, MQTT, HTTP 2.0, messaging systems, and a wide variety of the technologies underpinning browsers, servers, and embedded environments.
- Operational experience with web-scale infrastructure on Public cloud deployments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Rackspace, SoftLayer, etc.)
- Great energy and passion – must be comfortable in a rapidly changing dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are absolute requirements, as you will be representing the company in external forums, conferences, and customer meetings.
