Responsibilities and Duties
Job Description:

  • Strong project management is critical for this role. As the State prepares for additional RI Bridges system enhancements to be rolled out, a resource capable of functioning in a fast-paced, complex environment, is a necessity for the State.
  • The PM must be able to manage and track all tasks, engaging with a variety of stakeholders, and reporting those efforts to leadership.
  • The UHIP project manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all RI Bridges business and IT release readiness processes. This includes coordination between all UHIP related State agencies (business and IT) as well as all vendors involved in RIB application release development, testing, and deployment processes.
  • The primary UHIP governance venues which the project manager has ownership of are maintenance planning committee (MPC), release planning committee (RPC), and operational readiness review (ORR).
  • Responsibilities of the release manager require strong project management, leadership and communication skills, knowledge of health and human services programs, and the ability to manage enterprise-wide, complex, business critical systems in a production environment. Responsibilities include:
  • Ownership of all RI Bridges (RIB) business and IT release readiness processes
  • Ownership of UHIP Release Planning Committee (RPC) which maintains the RIB application release runway (release calendar) as well as deployment planning and execution
  • Oversight/coordination of release readiness activities including application release checklists (system integration vendor), deployment playbooks (system integration vendor), and deployment timelines (system integration vendor)
  • Oversight/coordination of post-release validations (State agency teams), hyper-care activities (system integration vendor), and release closure activities
  • UHIP lead/facilitator for RIB application release executive go/no-go decision meetings which are attended by State agency executives
  • Ownership of UHIP Maintenance Planning Committee (MPC) which is responsible for prioritizing and assigning scope to application release windows.
  • Ownership of UHIP Operational Readiness Review (ORR) to prepare for business operations units for upcoming application fixes and enhancements
  • Support UHIP IT program director in long term strategic planning, ongoing process improvements, and resource planning as it pertains to release management processes
  • JIRA: 1-3yrs experience required
