Senior Director/General Manager, Drug Product Division-North America

How will you make an impact?
This is a key site leadership role supporting the profitability, revenue and operations goals in Manati, Puerto Rico. Responsible for the profitability of a single business unit (site) by directing the overall business operations within the site including all production operations, product quality, delivery, client service and relations, financial performance (revenue and operating profit), human relations and environmental, health and safety.
What will you do?
- Ensures the site is able to deliver planned contribution margin, gross margin, EBITA and cash flow targets. Enforcing rigor around forecasting accuracy.
- Oversees overal performance of the site related to production – achieving right first time, on time delivery and other critical operational metrics.
- Works in close collaboration with Division and Corporate functional teams in a matrix environment (business management, finance, human resources, quality, etc.).
- Ensure that all products are manufactured in accordance with GMP and meet all specifications.
- Focus on commercial growth and building business and customer base.
- Facilities and all systems must be maintained by the Site Director such that regulatory and client inspection (PAI and General) are passed successfully and without critical observations.
- Ensure that technology transfers of new products into the facility are managed in a timely and technically sound manner.
- Must ensure all clients are satisfied with the service level received.
- Ensure that rapid and accurate technical review and cost estimation occurs in order to secure new business.
- Responsible for reviewing accident investigations, attend Injury Prevention Program meetings on a monthly basis and conduct yearly plant inspections.

- Experience and knowledge of services business solutions.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent sales/commercial management experience. Masters of Business Administration preferred. High school diploma/equivalent required.
- 10+ years of related work experience; 5 years in a leadership/management role overseeing teams.
- Experience in operations leadership preferred. Functional cross training in QA and business finance
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Fluency in English and Spanish required.
- Advanced PC skills, especially in Microsoft Office products.
- Preferred:
- High degree of specialization in the outsourcing pharmaceutical field is required for understanding this complex marketplace
- Background in the technical expertise involved in pharmaceutical manufacturing and an understanding of the dynamics in the pharmaceutical industry as a whole.
