Who you are

You will help develop and grow our core systems and platforms and get to work on a wide range of exciting new projects while exhibiting technical expertise across multiple areas including productivity, design and quality. You will champion the building of frictionless, reliable and amazing customer experiences along with helping develop internal tools and processes to help streamline our business. You love the challenge of solving complex technical problems, are passionate about delivering quality products on time and truly enjoys working collaboratively with your teammates in a fun, friendly, flexible and fast-paced agile environment.


What you’ll get to do

  • Serve as a key engineering leader and subject matter expert for the company for all software development projects.

  • Create detailed plans, processes and procedures for teams to follow to ensure ongoing compliance, efficiency and attention to detail in everything we do.

  • Lead code reviews, estimations, architectural designs and other planning activities while adhering to best practices and the highest standards of quality.

  • Hire, train, mentor and coach other engineers and supporting staff.

  • Manage the day-to-day engineering operations in order to provide clear direction and communication and remove any potential roadblocks to help your team.

  • Create and oversee a fun, exciting and amazing culture and work environment where teams are fully informed, challenged and engaged in order to deliver the best products to our customers.

What we’re looking for in you

  • 7+ years of relevant software development experience, including 2 years directly hiring, coaching and leading teams of engineers.

  • Dynamic and flexible. You can easily shift from high-level strategic thinking to hands on execution and getting your hands dirty!

  • Hands-on experience building, mobile-first websites using modern languages and frameworks such as HTML5, CSS, jQuery, PHP, React, Angular, Bootstrap, JavaScript, ACF, Node.js, Vue.js, etc.

  • Relevant experience working with a CMS (WordPress is a plus).

  • Knowledge with cloud technologies such as Amazon AWS.

  • Well versed working in fast-paced Agile environments and using the latest software development tools and management systems.

  • Very strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
