POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Technical Project Manager will manage and participate in multiple IT Infrastructure projects at Caliber Home Loans. This includes providing project leadership and direction on assigned projects, focusing on technical aspects; development, design, and implementation. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining all project management deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates and executes IT Infrastructure project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of IT Infrastructure projects and their scope.
- Leads project reviews in order to present recommendations and provide consultative advice to executive management to determine which projects are to be undertaken.
- Works with project stakeholders and management to determine necessary skill sets and assemble the project team based on project scope and expectations, including, as necessary, cross-department and outsourcing coordination.
- Effectively applies Agile methodology and enforces project standards.
- Facilitates team meetings effectively.
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
- Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments.
- Drives the establishment and execution of standards and approaches for assigned projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technology area or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in IT Infrastructure, Development or Production services.
- 5+ years in Project Management – technical aspects a plus.
- Proven IT leadership and staff development skills in a regulated industry.
- General knowledge of data center operations, telecommunications, network engineering, data center applications, client/server computing, and production operations support.
- Extensive experience with planning, managing and tracking multiple complex and major impact projects.
- Strong understanding and IT Infrastructure Project Management competencies including scope, time, costs, quality, HR, communications, risk, procurement and integration.
- Significant knowledge of Agile methodology (SCRUM, ITIL) concepts and adoption – Certification a plus.
- Persuasive, professional communication style. Capable of communicating complex, technical topics to a wide variety of audiences. Ability to interact with senior management and influence decision makers.
