The Scrum Master will play an essential role to the success of the strategy to become a fully agile and vital organization. The role will be committed to our agile pods; leading and coordinating the agile user stories of multiple system initiatives of varying size, scope and complexity within the Commercial portfolio in close coordination with the Treasury Solutions Business. The role will collaborate with colleagues in the development of functional and non-functional specifications for major systems and applications and/or bundles of smaller systems and applications. The Scrum Master is a servant leader responsible guiding and driving multiple agile pods to deliver on and achieve predetermined goals and results in alignment with the organization’s stated strategy.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Understand and drive agile values, practices and principles and can guide and coach teams, and the organization
  • Collaborate with others on agile teams, working with internal / external resources required to deliver the system
  • Build and Manage relationships with key stakeholders up to a senior level to understand the context and impact of the program to the business line and ensure all stakeholders views are managed towards the best solution for all business areas impacted
  • Provides program management expertise and leads key program work streams, working with the full program life cycle, following program Governance processes within agreed timescales to Time, Cost and Quality
  • In conjunction with the Business Analyst, solicits and documents the functional specifications to assist the Solution Architect in the design of technical structures based on the existing standards and processes to meet business requirements as agile user stories
  • Provides strategic support for the business system analyst to document and appropriately captures functional specifications according to organization process in alignment with overall Change Framework and IT Operating model
  • Liaise with the Solution Architects, Application Developers and Testers to ensure they understand the functional and non-functional requirements of the systems
  • Creates and fosters a climate of adding value in delivering programs by striving for excellence and contributing to the overall development of Change Management
  • Manages Change Management and allocated business program resources
  • Establish and build relationships across Commercial platform to facilitate achievement of strategic goals maintaining momentum throughout the program lifecycle
  • Collaborate with others on Program team, identifying internal / external resources required to deliver the program


Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years of previous experience
  • Basic understanding of project management techniques/methodologies
  • Advanced understanding of business analysis including elicitation, problem analysis, requirements specification, modeling and business process analysis
  • A clear understanding of agile methodologies, values, and procedures
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge of facilitation techniques, servant leadership, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills and experience
  • Knowledge of banking products and terminology
  • There may be a requirement for travel within the US
  • Clear thinker able to work through issues and escalate only when appropriate
  • Maximize the customer experience and minimize risk and cost of change
  • Strong knowledge in Commercial banking applications, processes and business operation is preferred
  • Previous experience in Cash Management & Digital space (e.g., Payments, deposits, reconciliation, billing, operations and regulatory) is highly preferred
Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Lean / Six Sigma / Process improvement experience a plus
  • PMI PMP Certification preferred
  • Agile Certification Institute
  • Scaled Agile Academy
  • Scrum Alliance

Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: 1st Shift / M-F, Some Weekends
