Northrop Grumman Aeronautical Systems has an opening for a Scrum Master to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA, in the Rancho Bernardo area.

The selected candidate will be the dedicated Scrum Master for a team with various engineering disciplines, such as virtualization, Windows, and Unix/Linux.

Essential Functions:

  • Adhere to Agile methodology to enforce Scrum compliance among the engineering team.
  • Run all Scrum meetings such as Sprint Planning, Review, Retrospective, and Daily Scrums.
  • Ensure that user stories are progressing each day and mitigate roadblocks by working with Product Owner and Developers.
  • Work with team lead on schedule and ensure user stories and Sprints align with deadlines.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of professional experience OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum.
  • The ability to support up to 10% travel.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current active in-scope DoD Secret/Top Secret security clearance.
  • Holds Scrum certification such as Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
  • Experience with Jira or similar issue tracker
  • Experience with leading scrum teams
