Position reports to Director of Credit and will oversee the credit and collections functions for assigned regions. They will partner with the operational, financial, and commercial leadership to execute best practice strategies to create metrics and enhance policies and procedures with the overall goal of improving cash flow and lowering bad debt.
Primary Duties:
- Administer corporate Credit and collection policies to assigned Supply Center locations and direct distributor accounts.
- Duties will include analyzing and evaluation of current Customerâs credit limit, as well as, setting limit and terms on new Customer accounts.
- Responsible for collections and meeting monthly collection goals for the Company. Also includes reviewing problem accounts for placement to collection agencies or litigation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Four year degree in business required along with 2-4 years of prior experience in credit or collections. Additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Proven track record of minimizing collection risk and bad debt by establishing effective credit and collection processes, thus reducing A/R delinquency and improving cash flow.
- Knowledge of Lien laws and secured transactions.
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of credit and collections
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), strong interpersonal, negotiation and management skills, and strong business acumen
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required
- Ability to function in a fast paced & high-energy environment with a strong sense of urgency.
- Efficient in Excel and Word.
