Objectives:
Scalian is looking for an experienced Project Manager with experience in leading & managing major projects regarding logistics support to manufacturing industry that shall support/help our client’s logistics facilities expansion project.
The objective is to deliver project management office (“PMO”) support to support the project to establish an offsite logistics hub.
The PMO will work under the control and the responsibility of the Head of Logistics.
Activities:
The Services to be provided by the PMO include all relevant tasks and activities which are necessary to accomplish the expected objectives:
- Assist our client’s Business Responsible in all aspects of Project Management functions for the assigned project
- Outline project goals in terms of scope, budget, schedule, risks, assumptions and key performance indicators/success metrics.
- Coordinate weekly working group meetings to ensure alignment of work package leaders and synergy of effort
- Ensure timely submission of deliverables and KPIs by work package leaders (i.e. schedules, progress reports, evidences of deliverables, budget adherence)
- Produce & consolidate overall project key performance indicators and deliverables to ensure alignment of stakeholders and to keep the client’s Business Responsible informed. This briefing shall be done on a weekly basis to the business responsible.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities to success and recommend strategies to mitigate risk or leverage opportunities
- Make regular visits to project locations to ensure compliance to timelines and an overall coordinated effort among all team members
Location & Hours: Mobile, AL + regular visits to Irvington, AL – The core hours of support are Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm (Central US Time) daily
Required Skills:
- Experience in leading major projects with budget of $10 million or over
- Familiarity with current industry project management practices (i.e. PMBOK, Agile, etc.)
- 10 years of experience leading projects of this size & scope
- Soft skills – Customer Relationship, Project Management
- Experience in a global office / high tech industry
