ComTec Solutions is a Business Technology Services company specializing in IT Managed Services with a niche market in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system sales, implementation, and support.
We are searching for a Project Manager Lead, to lead the project management team, help ensure they are following company processes and lead the team to deliver multiple complex concurrent projects (multiple stages, applications, geographies, etc.), on time, on budget and to the agreed upon scope. Lead internal resources to maintain on-time delivery of current projects. Streamline and provide onboarding activities by managing training, shadowing, and other activities. Making decisions aimed at improving efficiency while at the same time ensuring no disruption of project schedules.
REPORTS TO: Manager, Enterprise Systems Group
DIRECT REPORTS: Project Managers
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan, organize, lead and monitor the activities of the project team
- Maintain overall management of customer projects – including schedule, budget, and scope
- Ensure that sufficient resources and budget are available for completing all project activities
- Act as liaison and central focal point for internal stakeholders – i.e., Support, Development, Executive Management, Finance
- Prepare project deliverables to conduct the Projects – Plan, Budget, and Scope. Track the status of deliverables and any decisions made regarding Project Change Requests and outstanding issues
- Notify client stakeholders of project issues and submit recommendations to resolve them
- Maintain regular contact with the Client Project Manager, providing the status of project progress
- Ensure that commitments and changes to commitments are communicated with affected groups
- For approved Project Change Orders, update all documentation and project work plan to reflect changes in requirements and commitments
- Champion and adhere to implementation methodology
- Ability to identify Risk and manage/mitigate
- Utilize strong leadership and interpersonal skills to ensure optimal efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity
- Ensure project related documentation is updated and delivered on-time
- Assist with the development of Project Management disciplines as required
- Utilize strong leadership and interpersonal skills to ensure optimal efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity
- Approve and manage, all timesheets, vacation requests, and expenses
- Ensure effective utilization of all resources (e.g., people, equipment, facilities)
- Manage, track and monitor the progress of all projects of you and your team to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Maintain employee billable utilization.
- Responsible for the performance and development of all Project Managers
- Enable and support the professional development of all direct reports (i.e., coach and mentor)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as liaison and central focal point for Epicor resources including scheduling, secondary installation, configuration and training
- Maintain daily timesheet and expense report entries and submit them accurately and timely
- Other duties as required
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- High level of proficiency (intermediate) in MS Office

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor level degree
- PMP / Prince Certification
- 5 – 10 years of relevant experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Use of computer and office equipment
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Performs all administrative functions expected at this level
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to schedule for evening or weekend work occasionally
- Valid driver’s license in your state of residence and reliable personal vehicle
