Functional Role of Residential Estimator is to prepare for residential estimates. Residential Estimators are responsible for meeting with clients, preparing drawings (if applicable), quote packages, and successfully present it to the client to win the project. Residential jobs include new construction, remodeling, and repair projects. Residential Estimators work with the President, Maintenance Supervisor, Accounting Manager, and clients to help coordinate the project through to completion and follow up on budgets.
Requirements:
Education Preferred:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- College-level business and construction classes or B.A. in Construction Management or related field (can be substituted for experience.)
Experience Preferred:
- Three or more years of remodeling/carpentry/construction experience or as a Residential Estimator.
- Experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Office programs.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Body Positions: Standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs and ladders/
- Sufficiently corrected vision for reading written documentation on computer screens. Must be able to adequately hear with correction.
- Work occurs in office environment and at job sites/clients’ homes to meet with clients.
