Reports To: Director of Field Operations
Summary:
The Project Manager (Construction) will play a key role in our growing team and will be responsible for construction projects of American Landscape and Maintenance. The individual will assist with coordinating labor, material and equipment for multiple construction jobs. Additionally, they are responsible for communicating with our customers to ensure the installation is done according to plan, and within our contract. The Project Manager must possess good communication skills and have a strong attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate multiple projects effectively and efficiently

- Manage sub-contractors
- Responsible for scheduling labor for the project
- Communication and coordination with clients, general contractors and landscape architects
- Do job site visits to ensure that we are following the contract specifications, on budget, according to schedule and with a high standard of quality.
- Managing cost reports, analyzing budget variances and recommending strategies to lower project costs; reviewing labor quantities and phases to facilitate accurate project tracking.
- Prepare change orders with information supplied by Superintendents.
- Demonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Monitor project activities to ensure that instructions are followed, deadlines are met, and schedules are maintained.
- Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to specifications, standards, and contract requirements.
- Complete paperwork in a timely manner.
- Participate in job inspections when needed.
- Verify with Dig Alert before all jobs.
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a project manager in the landscape and maintenance industry
- Knowledge of plants, landscape, hardscape, irrigation, excavating, grading and drainage.
- Excellent at reading and understanding blueprints.
- Ability to effectively communicate present information and respond to questions, both verbal and written.
- Ability to organize, multi-task, plan and set priorities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Ability to exercise good judgment with a strong attention to detail
- Clean driving record.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
Physical Demands:
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to frequently move supplies of up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift weight consisting of 75 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Interaction with staff and customers.
- Regularly performing outside duties.
