Full Job Description
TownNews.com, a leading application service provider of hosted Web solutions for newspapers, seeks a multi-talented Project Manager for their Moline, Illinois office.
Responsibilities:
- Define the scope and objectives of projects, in collaboration with senior management, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Create detailed work plans which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete projects
- Determine and coordinate internal resources and ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop forms and records to document project activities
- Monitor the progress of projects and make adjustments as necessary to ensure projects are delivered on-time and within scope
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Report and escalate to management as needed
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a Project Manager/Administrator in the information technology sector
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organization skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Proficiency in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet, simple accounting
- PMP certification is a plus but not required
