The Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple client projects from conception to completion. This includes meeting with the Account Executive and clients to understand client needs, accurately estimating resources and timelines and managing project scope, schedule and budget. Provides exceptional service to our clients.

As a Project Manager, you will

Project Definition and Planning

  • Define and document client goals and requirements in terms of scope, schedule, and budget for the project
  • Collaborate with Production, Design, Engineering, and other internal departments to prepare a project plan that includes an accurate estimate of required resources from each department
  • Determine schedule, budget, procedures, and potential risks for project completion
  • Negotiate with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure highest value in quality and cost
  • Prepare project estimate and partner with Account manager in communicating estimate to client

Project Implementation and Management

  • Lead project kick-off; achieve buy-in from all stakeholders and maintain proactive communication with all departments throughout the project
  • Take ownership and ensure accuracy of project schedule, BOM, cashflow, production, invoicing and all other project documentation (scope updates, change orders, timelines, etc.)
  • Resolve all engineering and production issues, involving Account Manager and client as needed
  • Follow company processes and work toward improvements through the development of efficient business processes
  • Continuously seek cost savings opportunities to exceed gross margin targets
  • Proactively communicate and manage client expectations in terms of deliverables and scope
  • Utilize appropriate project management and ERP tools and resources to analyze, communicate, report, and document status updates
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and changes in relevant technology, equipment, and materials. Make recommendations in relation to these changes
  • Supervise team of project coordinators in execution of project tasks
  • Contribute to the team environment by coordinating with peers, resolving conflicting priorities and doing what is best for Chandler and our clients

Project Completion

  • Complete each project on time and to Chandler standards. Is willing to do what it takes to maintain Chandler reputation and exceed client expectations
  • Review and ensures accuracy and completion of all project documentation prior to closing and invoicing
  • Confirm delivery of final product. Follow-up with client to ensure client satisfaction
  • Lead Project Wrap process to review the project results against the project plan and identifies areas of improvement. Documents and communicates lessons learned to other team members.

Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4-year degree in Project Management, Business, or related field preferred
  • 3 years of experience in Project Management or coordination, preferably in design, creative, or technical field
  • Experience working in a client facing role
  • Experience managing a budget and project P&L
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment helpful
