We are seeking Operations Manager candidates to support the growth and demand for our destination management services in Las Vegas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates profitable programs, adhering to budgets/controlling expenses
- Reviews calendar of tentative and confirmed programs with Sales and determines Operations support (assigning managers, teams, contract managers, lead staff) for program execution
- Recruitment, hiring, development and training of Operations Department staff
- Work closely with Sales in proposal and contract development to ensure logistics and procedures are accurate and updated
- Participates in site inspections as requested by sales/clients
- Supervises/Operates assigned programs including:
- Participates in turnover meeting with Sales Team
- Confirmation of all services and products, necessary to operate successful programs
- Review contracts and pricing and adjust as necessary to effect company established profitability
- Confirm and inform staff regarding program specifics
- Serve as main on-site contact with customer/suppliers/hotel
- Determine required deposits, processing of vendor invoices and approving field staff payroll
- Assist with Vendor Management process
- Sell additional services/products
- Generate final invoices and correspondence
- Review/approve all program expenses
- Coordinates effective utilization of Operations resources
- Represents Company at industry functions
- Ensures total program profitability is achieved
- Ensures final billings are sent to customers within seven working days
- Effectively manage team resources
- Provide field staff with timely, accurate information about Company expectations and program requirements
- Actively participate in Industry Functions for Professional Development
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Proficiency in client relations, proposal writing, detailed budget management, event design, contract management, and vendor relations
- Knowledgeable of the local destination offerings such as restaurants, clubs, festivals, tours, and venues
- Exceptionally well organized
- Strong sense of urgency to ensure timely completion of multiple evolving events
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelorâs degree in Hospitality, Business, Finance, Communication, or Marketing is preferred
- Three or more years total work experience with a minimum of 2 years of hospitality experience
