Manages personnel and process to complete credit approvals or limit requests in a timely manner and submits recommendations to executives for approval with comprehensive supporting analysis and clear presentation. Reviews new customer requests and oversight of customers’ credit exposure, which includes underwriting and approving, declining, or recommending credit limits.
Responsible for continual review of the credit underwriting guidelines and requests changes when appropriate.
Manages MHC overall credit applications / process, business system support, and credit analysis / research tools, including fully utilizing current services and providing subject matter expertise on credit trends, potential new tools, and other risk management support.
Manages evaluation of aggregate customers’ overall MHC credit exposure and payment history as one of the underwriting considerations.
Responsible for maintaining credit files to meet audit and other outside interested parties/ requirements. This includes maintaining credit documentation and monitoring receipt of periodic financial statements of larger customers.
Ensures proper customer account maintenance and adherence to MHC credit policies.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
Requires excellent customer service, analytical, leadership, problem solving, organization, negotiation, and communication skills.
Requires strong credit underwriting skills and experience with many different industries. This includes a strong working knowledge of financial statements and the ability to analyze those statements and compare the analysis to industry standards and project company viability.
Accounting or Finance degree in 3 to 6 years of professional experience, including credit / collections, required. Formal credit or collections training and experience as credit analyst, accountant, or financial analyst preferred.
Supervisor experience strongly preferred and credit / collection leadership experience preferred.
Drive to learn quickly and constantly adapt to new challenges.
Ability to work with individuals across all levels of the organization.
