Starbucks is looking for a time limited assignment as Sr. Project Manager to provide strategic leadership and initiative management for our North America Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) business. You will play a critical role in the development and lifecycle management for new product and commercial innovation.
This position contributes to the success of our Global Coffee Alliance by leading cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive programs and services that drive revenue and profit for the business. There will be a focus on the overall success of highly visible and prioritized efforts and you will own and drive overall organization, tracking and management of core initiatives for the business. This position requires strong leadership skills, the capability to build effective project teams, and a results-driven attitude.

This position has been identified as a Time Limited Assignment (TLA). The approximate duration of the assignment is 5 months beginning on or about 12/30/2019 and ending on approximately 05/21/2020.

Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:
  • Lead project teams to develop and implement new programs and process improvements in accordance with Starbucks established program management methodologies
  • Establish and manage project schedules, progress, and costs to ensure that expected results are delivered on time and within budget. Maintain, adjust and update project plans as needed. Consolidate, communicate and ensure resolution of all issues
  • Operate with clear understanding of the business strategic objectives and cross-program/ portfolio dependencies
  • Lead initiatives through the stage gate process (project establishment through in-market launch) driving readiness and timely completion of all key milestones
  • Analyze problems, identify issues, summarize findings and recommend course of action
  • Effectively document and communicate information to senior business leaders that enable sound business decisions and taking calculated risk
  • Translate business strategies into clear initiative action plans
  • Develop strong partnerships at all levels across the commercial and technical communities
  • Document and manage project status reports that are relevant, transparent, and add value
  • Work independently with limited day-to-day guidance from management.

We’d love to hear from people with:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with professional experience in a business environment- 5 years
  • Experience in project management with demonstrated success in leading teams and managing multiple projects- 3 years
  • Business acumen with the ability to quickly identify risks and opportunities
  • Agility to balance multiple priorities and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to establish cross functional, collaborative relationships with business partners
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Motivated self-starter that works independently: highly productive and efficient
