Summary
The Manager of Configuration’s role is to plan, coordinate and supervise all activities related to the configuration of our medical claims software and the triage of escalated issues as well as manage the implementation of new functionality. This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide his/her development team on issues. This position reports to the Director of IT Quality Assurance
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serves as an escalation point for all issues pertaining to Javelina
- Assists in the coordination of testing and implementing new releases
- Provides support to Business Analysts, as needed
- Supervises department personnel, including Business Analysts and IT Project Manager
- Develops relationships with non-technical users that foster trust and collaboration.
- Quickly understands existing business issues and data challenges
- Creates queries to analyze data and identify anomalies
- Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes

- Prepares accurate and details requirement specifications documents, user guides and functional specification documents

- Identification and recommendations of change requests/enhancements to IT leadership for prioritization

- Available during non-business hours to resolve system issues as needed

- Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience
Candidates must have an Associate’s Degree and 7-10 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Additionally strong analytical skills and a commitment to detail and quality are required. Bachelors or certifications in related healthcare/insurance field preferred but not required.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients.
