This position reports to a Deputy General Counsel and sits within the Corporate Compliance Group of the parent company-level Corporate Law Department.
Core Responsibilities:
- As a member the Corporate Compliance Group, help to develop, implement, and manage the Company’s compliance program, including building and developing compliance procedures, tools, systems and databases.
- Assist with daily management of compliance tasks, including identifying, reviewing, analyzing and monitoring compliance risks.
- Develop tools and technology to aid compliance objectives and automate compliance-related processes.
- Assess compliance program effectiveness and recommend policy and process enhancements.
- Liaise between subject-matter experts in areas of compliance risk and technologists, systems vendors, and other technical support professionals.
- Partner and effectively communicate with compliance stakeholders across Corporate, Comcast Cable, NBCUniversal, Sky, and Comcast Spectacor, including Corporate and Business Unit Compliance, Legal, Political Affairs, Government Affairs, Internal Audit, and Human Resources.
- Assist with the Company’s internal processes for promoting an organizational culture of ethics and ensuring the Company’s compliance with laws, regulations, and Company policies.
- Demonstrate excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successful delivery of projects on time and in line with compliance expectations.
- Perform other compliance program-related duties as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 8-10 years compliance or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining systems and tools to support a corporate compliance function.
- Knowledge of the required elements of effective compliance programs, as outlined in the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, preferred.
- Exposure to compliance areas relating to anti-corruption, political law, and international regulatory/compliance matters, preferred.
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, including the ability to work independently on projects of high complexity with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze facts and identify issues, collect data/evidence, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and prepare reports.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
